Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck is a synergistic midrange deck that wins through poison counters and proliferation. The early game establishes mana acceleration through two-mana rocks and land-searching spells while placing initial poison counters using low-cost creatures like Venerated Rotpriest, Blightbelly Rat, and Skrelv's Hive. Once Atraxa, Praetors' Voice enters on Turn 4, its end-step proliferate trigger steadily ticks up poison counts on all opponents simultaneously. The midgame solidifies board dominance through potent asymmetric stax and protection pieces, such as Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, Drana and Linvala, and Shalai, Voice of Plenty. Force multipliers like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Inexorable Tide accelerate proliferation, threatening a decisive table-wide poison victory by Turn 8. Backed by versatile removal and resilient recursion engines, the deck maintains steady pressure while disrupting opposing strategies.
