Deck overview

This mono-green deck centers on Ghalta, Primal Hunger, utilizing an aggressive stompy curve to deploy massive, undercosted creatures. Early mana dorks like Llanowar Elves accelerate play into efficient beaters such as Steel Leaf Champion and Pugnacious Hammerskull. These threats quickly amass 10 or more total power on the battlefield, enabling Ghalta to enter as early as Turn 4 for just two green mana. Card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise convert high creature power into continuous hand replenishment. The deck overwhelms opponents through trample-heavy combat damage boosted by Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While exceptionally fast and formidable in creature combat, the strategy relies heavily on permanent board presence, leaving it vulnerable to board wipes and instant-speed interaction across its multi-turn combat clock.
