Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black aristocrats engine commanded by Drivnod, Carnage Dominus. The primary game plan revolves around assembling sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar and Ashnod's Altar, recursive creatures like Nether Traitor and Reassembling Skeleton, and payoff engines like Blood Artist, Pitiless Plunderer, and Grave Pact. Drivnod serves as a lethal force multiplier in the command zone, doubling all creature death triggers to accelerate card draw, drain life totals, and strip opposing boards. The deck accelerates quickly with black rituals and mana rocks into a Turn 4 engine assembly, threatening a same-turn lethal combo or an oppressive attrition lock by Turn 5. Even without its commander, the deck operates smoothly using alternate engines such as Bolas's Citadel and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Its primary weaknesses are resting graveyard hate and an inability to answer opposing artifacts and enchantments directly.
