Deck overview

This deck is a Jund attrition strategy commanded by Winter, Misanthropic Guide. It subverts the traditional group hug archetype by weaponizing symmetric card draw against opponents. Winter grants each player two extra cards during your upkeep, but his delirium ability slashes opponents' maximum hand sizes down to three or fewer cards based on card types in your graveyard. Combined with continuous discard engines like Bottomless Pit, Necrogen Mists, and Dark Deal, opponents are forced to discard their hands every turn cycle. Payoffs such as Waste Not, Bone Miser, Geth's Grimoire, Tergrid, God of Fright, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse translate these discards and draws into an overwhelming surplus of mana, zombie tokens, stolen permanents, and direct life drain. Extensive recursion via Six and Life from the Loam ensures exceptional late-game resilience.
