Commander: Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn leads a Selesnya lifegain/+1/+1 counter deck that converts incidental lifegain into a rapidly growing board. The primary plan is to play early life-gain engines (Soul Warden, Authority of the Consuls, ETB lands), drop Lathiel, then use her end-step trigger to pile counters onto attackers. Rhox Faithmender, Angel of Vitality, and Cleric Class amplify every life gain, while Branching Evolution and Hardened Scales double the counters. The deck wins through huge combat damage, often with trample/flying creatures from Trudge Garden and Resplendent Angel, or through the alternative life-total win conditions Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance. A compact combo-Cleric Class with Spike Feeder-generates arbitrarily large life, which Accomplished Alchemist can convert into mana for a lethal board.
