Deck overview

Ezuri, Claw of Progress leads a Simic +1/+1-counter deck that treats low-power creatures as fuel. The core loop is simple: play one- and two-power bodies to bank experience counters, then convert them at combat into a massive counter payload on a single creature. The doubling suite is exceptional - Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Branching Evolution, The Earth Crystal, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, and level-3 Innkeeper's Talent all multiply that payload. Wins come from three distinct angles: the Sage of Hours extra-turn loop, Walking Ballista as a counter-sink kill, Simic Ascendancy as a check-win, or a combat blowout with Herald of Secret Streams/Champion of Lambholt plus Finale of Devastation/Overwhelming Stampede. Ezuri is the engine and the primary combo enabler, but the 99 carries enough counter generators (Ouroboroid, Maester Seymour, Bristly Bill, Spine Sower) to keep the plan functional if he is repeatedly answered.
