Deck overview

Namor the Sub-Mariner leads a mono-blue Merfolk storm-control deck. The primary plan is to land Namor on turn 3, then use blue instants and sorceries as both interaction and token generation: every noncreature spell with blue symbols creates that many 1/1 Merfolk. Namor becomes a flying commander-damage threat whose power scales with the number of Merfolk on board. Secondary lines use Seahunter to find Namor, Scourge of the Seas and a flash/tempo package with Tetsuko Umezawa and Hullbreaker Horror to turn unblockable small tokens into a clock. There is no double-faced commander; Namor, Scourge of the Seas is a powerful lieutenant, not a hidden second commander.
