Deck overview

This Esper deck is commanded by Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima, leveraging his unique solo-combat triggers to grant either unblockable evasion or double strike alongside combat-damage card draw. The game plan focuses on deploying potent equipment such as Blackblade Reforged, Sword of Feast and Famine, and Genji Glove via efficient tutors like Steelshaper's Gift and Open the Armory. Once equipped, Jin Sakai swings for lethal chunks of commander damage while replenishing your hand. Alternate combat threats like Unstoppable Slasher, Shredder, Shadow Master, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz provide devastating life-halving synergies that can eliminate players in a single swing. A robust suite of protection spells—including Teferi's Protection, Robe of Stars, Mithril Coat, and Grand Abolisher—shields your primary threats from opposing interaction, while late-game bombs and the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond combo offer reliable secondary win conditions.
