Deck overview

This mono-black midrange deck embraces a dedicated Lord of the Rings theme centered around Gollum and the nine Nazgûl. Led by Gollum, Riddle Master, the deck generates early incremental card advantage and life swings while punishing opponents for casting spells on the chosen odd or even mana quality. The core engine deploys multiple copies of Nazgûl, which trigger the Ring tempting mechanic to scale the entire Wraith squad with +1/+1 counters and grant evasion to Ring-bearers. Supporting enchantments like Call of the Ring and Black Market Connections provide steady card velocity and token generation. Mass recursion via Patriarch's Bidding allows the deck to instantly rebuild an overwhelming army of Wraiths if disrupted. Life drain from Gollum, Obsessed Stalker and Mirkwood Bats supplements combat damage, closing out games by Turn 8 across two attack cycles.
