Deck overview

This deck harnesses Smaug the Impenetrable to turn noncombat damage into overwhelming Treasure production, board control, and game-ending drain. Smaug's natural haste and indestructible keyword allow the deck to break parity on symmetrical damage sweepers like Blasphemous Act, Chain Reaction, and Star of Extinction. Instead of wiping your own board, these spells generate double-digit Treasure tokens while clearing opposing creatures. The deck translates this sudden wealth into direct lethal damage through aristocrat payoffs such as Marionette Master, Agent of the Iron Throne, and Mayhem Devil. An equipped Blazing Sunsteel provides a compact two-card infinite damage combo directly with the commander. Supported by efficient Rakdos ramp, redirection protection, and backup Dragon win conditions, the deck consistently threatens to close out the game on turn 6.
