Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a Sultai Elf/legendary-engine deck that mills utility Elves into the graveyard and then borrows their activated abilities while drawing cards off every other legendary Elf. The primary plan is a +1/+1 counter-and-Elf-token army, boosted by counter doublers, Court of Garenbrig, Maester Seymour, and landfall token makers. The secondary plan is a compact infinite-mana (Incubation Druid plus untap aura) or infinite-token (Ivy Lane Denizen plus Scurry Oak) engine that Thranduil can convert into a massive attack. The commander is the card-advantage and outlet engine, but the deck can still win through mid-range beats if Thranduil is removed. No hidden commander exists; Thranduil, Sindarin Liege is only a subtheme enabler in the 99.
