Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Garland, Royal Kidnapper is a Dimir monarch-theft build. The plan is simple: put an opponent on the throne, then use Garland's triggered ability to take control of the monarch's best creature. Because the king is always the one with the biggest threat, this deck naturally steals bombs while generating card advantage through the monarchy. The deck backs this with a graveyard-mill package (Gyruda, Breach the Multiverse, The Cyber-Controller) that mines opponents' libraries for stolen bodies, plus a control suite of counters, bounce, and instant-speed protection. Losing the crown is a feature, not a bug: each transition to a new monarch means another theft trigger. The finish is a combat step with stolen creatures pumped by Garland, supported by token copies and mass reanimation.
