Deck overview

This deck leverages Shorikai, Genesis Engine as an engine for card selection, discard enablement, and token generation in Azorius colors. By producing Pilot tokens and looting two cards per turn, the commander easily discards immense, game-ending threats into the graveyard while establishing early board presence. The primary strategy capitalizes on four-mana white reanimation spells such as Breath of Life, False Defeat, and Resurrection, alongside Polymorph effects, to drop format-warping bombs like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Void Winnower as early as Turn 5. Supported by a robust counterspell and removal suite, the deck establishes an oppressive stax-like lock on opposing resources, neutralizing opposing boards and hand sizes before cleanly battering the table down through sustained combat damage with oversized creatures and an 8/8 commander.
