Deck overview

This deck is a flavorful, theme-driven exhibition build centered on Fishing Pole. Helmed by Emry, Lurker of the Loch, the deck's primary goal is to fetch, equip, and untap Fishing Pole to stock bait counters and generate 1/1 blue Fish tokens. Rather than pursuing traditional high-powered mono-blue artifact infinite combos, the list leverages proliferation through cards like Contagion Clasp, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Deepglow Skate to rapidly multiply counters. The primary route to victory is amassing thirty or more counters across permanents to trigger Lux Artillery, burning each opponent for 10 damage every end step. As a secondary avenue, anthem effects like Obelisk of Urd and Adaptive Automaton turn the school of Fish tokens into a lethal combat force. While expressive and resilient against single-target removal thanks to graveyard recursion, the strategy requires substantial setup time and prolonged board presence to close out games.
