Deck overview

This Abzan deck pairs Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan to execute an aggressive, highly resilient +1/+1 counters strategy powered by legendary permanent density. Yoshimaru enters on Turn 1 and quickly scales as legendary spells enter the battlefield, while Reyhan ensures that invested counters are not lost when creatures die by moving them to surviving threats. The list accelerates through efficient 1–2 CMC green ramp spells and scales rapidly using counter multipliers such as Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Corpsejack Menace. Combat evasion is supplied by Kodama of the West Tree, Abzan Falconer, and Champion of Lambholt, while Sovereign Okinec Ahau provides exponential stat growth on attack. One-sided board wipes like Damning Verdict and Urza's Ruinous Blast clear opposing blockers without harming your modified, legendary board, and instant-speed protection like Heroic Intervention and Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar safeguard your winning attacks.
