Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius flying tempo-control deck built around Errant and Giada. It develops early evasive creatures, deploys cost reducers, and casts Errant and Giada to turn the top of the library into an active extension of the hand. Combat damage triggers like Coastal Piracy and Reconnaissance Mission provide steady card advantage to maintain tempo. The deck controls the board with asymmetric locks such as Magus of the Moat, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, and Aven Mindcensor, shutting down non-flying attacks and opposing tutors while breaking parity completely. It protects its board state with an extensive suite of low-cost counterspells and instant-speed protection like Make a Stand and Akroma's Will. Lethal combat pressure peaks around Turn 6 with team-wide buffs, while infinite mana lines using Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake or Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal serve as decisive late-game win conditions.
