Deck overview

This is an Izzet artifact deck led by Shao Jun. Its normal game involves deploying mana rocks, artifact cost reducers, token makers, and damage engines such as Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist. Shao Jun turns spare artifacts into repeated damage, while Guild Artisan and Sword Coast Sailor can improve attack-based pressure. The strongest finish is the Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal loop. With at least three mana-producing nonlands, two additional artifacts, and Shao Jun in play, the loop repeatedly untaps the board and pays for Rope Dart, dealing unlimited damage to every opponent. The deck can find the Scepter with Fabricate or Loyal Inventor, but Dramatic Reversal is difficult to access, so the combo is not a dependable early finish. Without it, the deck can build a threatening token board, but its damage plan is slower and vulnerable to removal.
