Deck overview

This deck is a focused mono-white Equipment Voltron strategy commanded by Cloud, Midgar Mercenary. Cloud guarantees early access to critical Equipment cards directly from the command zone on Turn 2 while doubling all triggered abilities of itself and attached Equipment. The deck leverages this doubling effect with powerful combat triggers such as Buster Sword, Sword of Feast and Famine, and Genji Glove to generate massive card flow, free spell casts, and extra combat phases. A dense suite of equip-cost bypass engines—including Sigarda's Aid, Puresteel Paladin, and Codsworth, Handy Helper—ensures rapid deployment and attachment. The deck reinforces its combat plan with proactive silence effects like Grand Abolisher and Voice of Victory, alongside comprehensive protective equipment like Commander's Plate and Champion's Helm. Supported by targeted removal and optional land destruction through Armageddon, the deck systematically eliminates opponents via lethal commander damage.
