Deck overview

This mono-black deck pairs Burakos, Party Leader with Agent of the Shadow Thieves to execute a focused Party-based Treasure and aristocrats strategy. In the early turns, cheap Clerics, Rogues, Warriors, and Wizards establish board presence to maximize Burakos's party count. Once Burakos attacks, the Background grants indestructible and deathtouch against the highest life total, ensuring safe combat while generating 2 to 4 Treasure tokens per attack. The resulting mana velocity and artifact generation feed powerful drain engines such as Mirkwood Bats, Agent of the Iron Throne, and Nadier's Nightblade. In the mid-to-late game, the deck converts stockpiled Treasures into game-ending life loss through a massive Torment of Hailfire or explosive sacrifice triggers. Supported by efficient black removal and disruptive hatebears like Opposition Agent and Dauthi Voidwalker, the list applies steady combat pressure while building toward an inevitable, high-damage finish.
