Clashy by Zane_Willow

Format: Commander

Commander: Marvo, Deep Operative

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a high-power Dimir control-combo deck piloted by Marvo, Deep Operative, who uses his clash-on-attack ability to cheat out expensive spells from hand. The primary win condition is the deterministic two-card combo of Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, which can be assembled through an overwhelming tutor suite. The deck also leverages Marvo's clash to deploy game-ending threats like Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Hullbreaker Horror, or Peer into the Abyss for free, while a dense web of free counterspells and instant-speed removal protects the game plan. Fast mana, ritual effects, and a curated library manipulation package (Brainstorm, Sensei's Divining Top, Lim-Dul's Vault) allow the deck to consistently hit its key turns. The commander is a value engine, not a combo piece, so the deck operates perfectly well without him.
