Deck overview

This Orzhov enchantment/auras deck helmed by Killian, Decisive Mentor blends goad, control, and incremental combat advantage. The commander's first ability taps and goads a creature on each enchantment you play, turning opponents' boards against each other, while his attack-trigger draws cards off enchanted creatures. The core strategy is to deploy cheap auras that remove key pieces (Chains of Custody, Sheltered by Ghosts), goad opposing threats to keep the pressure off, and then suit up a resilient beater-often Kor Spiritdancer or Eidolon of Countless Battles-with game-ending auras like Eldrazi Conscription or Angelic Destiny. Winds of Rath serves as a one-sided board wipe (non-enchanted creatures die), and Inkshield provides a surprise fog plus an army of flying tokens. The deck wins through combat damage, either commander damage or a massive enchanted creature, with goad ensuring opponents are too busy fighting each other to mount a defense.
