Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads an Elf tribal deck that swarms the board and wins through combat. Thranduil copies all activated abilities of Elves in your graveyard and draws cards when legendary Elves enter, so you fill the graveyard to turn him into a toolbox. The main plan is to flood the board with Elves, boost them with lords and pumps like Tyvar, the Pummeler and Timberwatch Elf, and finish with Lathril's drain or a large attack. Backup wins include Simic Ascendancy counters, Jarad's sacrifice drain, and Exsanguinate. Buried Alive and Jarad's Orders set up the graveyard, while Haunting Voyage rebuilds after wipes.
