[B2] Extus by Zotelkopf

Format: Commander

Commander: Extus, Oriq Overlord // Awaken the Blood Avatar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Extus is a Mardu tokens-and-spells deck built primarily around the back face, Awaken the Blood Avatar: cheap token generators feed repeated sacrifices that reduce the spell to as little as {B}{R}, clearing opponent boards and creating hasty 3/6 Avatars. The front face is the recursion engine-its magecraft returns a nonlegendary creature whenever an instant or sorcery is cast or copied. Secondary paths include go-wide token combat with Assemble the Legion and Thalisse, magecraft drains from Professor Onyx, and copy-spell finishers Skull Storm and Fury Storm. There is no hidden commander; Professor Onyx acts as the closest thing to a second spells-matter boss.
