Deck overview

Nine-Fingers Keene is a single-faced Sultai/Gate commander. Keene is a fetch/refill engine, not the finish. The core line is to play and search Gates with Gatecreeper Vine, District Guide, Circuitous Route, and Explore the Underdark, while Aesi and Tatyova turn each land into advantage. Maze's End in the 99 is the true payoff: control nine named Gates, activate Maze's End, return it, and fetch the final Gate to win. The deck is built around Keene's combat trigger for that landing line. If Maze's End is not found, the backup is evasive commander combat with Vorpal Sword or 21 commander damage, with Gate Colossus and Torment of Hailfire as late cleanup.
