Deck overview

This Rakdos Dragon tribal deck is commanded by Rivaz of the Claw, which accelerates mana and turns the graveyard into a renewable resource. The strategy pairs explosive mana acceleration—such as Urza's Incubator, Dragonspeaker Shaman, and Treasure engines—with devastating legendary Dragons. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and filtering cards into the graveyard using looting spells like Faithless Looting and Buried Alive. Mid-game turns deploy flagship threats including Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas, Utvara Hellkite, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen. Haste enablers like Dragon Tempest and Anger allow these aerial powerhouses to strike immediately, triggering torrential direct damage and overwhelming token creation. The deck breaks parity through asymmetric sweepers like Crux of Fate and defends its critical win attempts with efficient redirection spells such as Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend. It delivers a relentless aerial clock backed by resilient recursion.
