Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Winter, Cynical Opportunist, utilizing self-mill, diverse card types, and delirium to cheat devastating high-mana permanents onto the battlefield. Early turns focus on filling the graveyard with enablers like Entomb, Buried Alive, Grisly Salvage, and Stitcher's Supplier. On Turn 4, the deck deploys Winter or a traditional reanimation spell to reanimate massive threats such as Portal to Phyrexia, Archon of Cruelty, Valgavoth, Terror Eater, or Sheoldred, Whispering One. These threats immediately generate asymmetric resource denial by forcing opponent sacrifices and discards. The deck sustains card flow through retrace engines like Six, value engines like Greater Good, and recurring end-step reanimation triggers. The game is closed across Turns 5 and 6 through overwhelming combat damage supported by Demolisher Spawn and burst drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Massacre Wurm, or Living Death.
