Deck overview

This deck utilizes Obeka, Splitter of Seconds to turn combat damage into multiple consecutive upkeep phases. By ensuring Obeka connects unblocked and with amplified power, the deck triggers upkeep-dependent permanents such as Court of Ire, Court of Embereth, and Smaug the Magnificent multiple times in a single turn. This setup creates exponential burn, token armies, and rapid card draw. Supported by efficient Grixis artifact ramp and premium black tutors, the deck reliably establishes its board state by Turn 4 and threatens critical life totals on Turn 5. Protection spells like Deflecting Swat and equipment like Conqueror's Flail safeguard Obeka during combat. If the commander is locked out, the deck transitions into an infinite combat combo using Sword of Feast and Famine alongside Aggravated Assault to close out games.
