Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black artifact reanimation and cost-cheating engine led by Anrakyr the Traveller. The primary game plan accelerates into Anrakyr by Turn 4, prepares high-cost artifacts in the graveyard or hand via cards like Entomb and Buried Alive, and attacks on Turn 5 to cast these game-ending permanents for life instead of mana. Deploying Portal to Phyrexia strips opposing boards of creatures, while Bolas's Citadel or Wurmcoil Engine builds overwhelming board presence and stabilizes life totals through lifelink. The list backs up this cheat engine with dedicated reanimation spells including Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Living Death, allowing it to function smoothly even when the commander is disrupted. Asymmetric removal such as Their Name Is Death and Deadly Rollick keeps opposing threats in check while your construct and Necron armies close out the game over two combat rotations.
