Deck overview

This Golgari deck harnesses Shelob, Child of Ungoliant to pilot an aggressive kindred midrange and attrition strategy. High-velocity mana acceleration—featuring Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, and efficient green sorcery ramp—consistently deploys Shelob on Turn 4. Once Shelob is on the battlefield, all Spiders gain deathtouch and ward {2}, transforming bite and fight spells like Cosmic Hunger, Bite Down, and Setessan Tactics into instant-speed removal that steals opposing creatures as Food artifacts. Token generators such as Arasta of the Endless Web, Izoni, Center of the Web, and Ishkanah, Grafwidow flood the board with resilient reach blockers, establishing commanding board presence by Turn 5. The deck converts this overwhelming creature superiority into a decisive table elimination around Turn 6–7 via mass pump spells like Triumph of the Hordes, Overwhelming Stampede, and Night of the Sweets' Revenge. High-efficiency interaction and robust protection spells safeguard key turns while dismantling opposing threats.
