Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos combat-control and aristocrats strategy built around Kardur, Doomscourge. By deploying Kardur on Turn 4, the deck forces opponents to attack each other each combat while draining their life totals whenever attacking creatures die. The primary engine sustains this lock by repeatedly sacrificing and reanimating Kardur with cheap instants like Feign Death and Undying Evil, or duplicating enters-the-battlefield triggers with token copy engines such as Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink and Blade of Selves. Opposing creatures destroy each other in forced combat, whittling down life totals and clearing board states. Once opponents reach critical life totals around Turn 7 or 8, the deck delivers a decisive finish using mass creature-theft effects like Insurrection and Mob Rule, or burst life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Massacre Wurm.
