Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan midrange strategy built around +1/+1 counter manipulation, token swarms, and sacrifice synergies helmed by Ghave, Guru of Spores. It accelerates early using low-cost mana dorks and ramp spells to deploy Ghave or high-impact token multipliers on Turn 4 or 5. Ghave functions as both a token factory and a sacrifice outlet, turning mana into board presence and converting disposable tokens into card draw via engines like Moldervine Reclamation and Belladonna Took. The deck can win through an infinite combo using Cathars' Crusade and Herd Baloth, which generates an unbounded number of 4/4 Beast tokens with infinite +1/+1 counters, or through overwhelming go-wide combat bolstered by anthems and Innkeeper's Talent. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers, cards like Grand Abolisher protect decisive execution windows.
