Deck overview

Thryx, the Sudden Storm leads a mono-blue big-mana control deck centered on powerful Sphinxes and heavy flyers. Thryx provides cost reduction and uncounterability for high-cost spells while flashing in on opponent end steps. The deck generates massive mana via mana rocks and doublers like Gauntlet of Power and Caged Sun to deploy dominant flyers such as Consecrated Sphinx, Windreader Sphinx, and Inspired Sphinx. Value engines and copy effects like Reflections of Littjara, Donal, Herald of Wings, and Orvar, the All-Form rapidly build overwhelming board states. The primary path to victory is air superiority backed by mass bounce like Spectral Deluge and game-warping extra-turn spells like Expropriate.
