Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger control and life-drain strategy commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The primary game plan focuses on deploying cheap mana rocks on turns 1 and 2, casting Y'shtola on turn 3 or 4, and triggering her ability by casting noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater. Each qualifying spell drains 2 life from each opponent and gains 2 life, which immediately qualifies for Y'shtola's end-step trigger to draw an extra card.
