Deck overview

This mono-green deck is an aggressive Landfall Voltron build centered on Tifa Lockhart. By leveraging her low casting cost ({1}{G}), built-in trample, and triggered ability that doubles her power with every land that enters the battlefield, the deck can rapidly produce lethal commander damage. A heavy package of fetchlands, land-sacrifice lands, and extra-land enablers like Azusa, Lost but Seeking and Entish Restoration allows Tifa's power to compound exponentially from 1 to 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 in a single turn. The deck backs up this aggressive clock with an extensive suite of one- and two-mana protection spells such as Tamiyo's Safekeeping and Heroic Intervention. While highly focused and explosive against individual opponents, its sequential combat clock and low interactive density leave it susceptible to multi-opponent removal and dedicated creature combo decks.
