Deck overview

This mono-red deck is commanded by Tersa Lightshatter, focusing on converting card discard and rummaging into explosive table-wide burn damage. The primary game plan revolves around assembling discard payoffs such as Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, and Magmakin Artillerist, then amplifying their output with damage modifiers like Mechanized Warfare and Artist's Talent. Casting massive draw-and-discard spells, including Wheel of Misfortune, Change of Fortune, and Raphael's Technique, unleashes lethal bursts of noncombat damage that hit all opponents simultaneously. The commander provides immediate velocity through haste, enter-the-battlefield looting, and attack-step graveyard card advantage once the threshold of seven cards is met. While the deck boasts immense card flow, high functional redundancy, and rapid recovery from board wipes, it carries notable vulnerabilities: supporting protection is sparse, reactive interaction cannot cleanly remove enchantments, and reliance on creature-based pingers leaves setup vulnerable to well-timed spot removal.
