Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control and aristocrats strategy that converts creature deaths into massive board control and life drain. Led by Sephiroth, Planet's Heir, the deck uses symmetrical sacrifice creatures like Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Accursed Marauder alongside persistent enchantments such as Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos to keep opposing boards clear. As opposing creatures die, Sephiroth gains +1/+1 counters to grow into a lethal combat threat with vigilance, while aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Massacre Wurm drain opponent life totals. Fast mana rocks and efficient cantrips accelerate development, while reanimation spells like Reanimate and flicker spells like Essence Flux reuse entering abilities. The deck protects its engines with efficient countermagic like Fierce Guardianship and Swan Song, grinding down opponents until lethal combat damage and drain triggers close out the game.
