This Golgari Voltron deck harnesses Skullbriar, the Walking Grave to convert early combat connections into an exponential, resilient commander damage clock. Because Skullbriar retains all counters across graveyard, exile, and command zone transitions, any counter placed on it remains a permanent asset for the rest of the game. The deck rapidly scales Skullbriar's power through counter multipliers like Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, and Hydra's Growth, while permanently grafting evasion and protection via keyword counters from Daring Fiendbonder, Slippery Bogbonder, and Scavenged Brawler. It protects its investment using low-cost defensive spells and reanimation, and finishes games through unblockable commander strikes or a massive direct-damage burst via Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord.
