Smaug's Hoard by Fredrikie

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent commands a high-velocity mono-red Treasure engine built around rapid mana acceleration, artifact synergies, and explosive burst damage. The deck develops early Treasure producers to fuel resource advantage before deploying Smaug, who immediately weaponizes the artifact count into targeted direct damage on attack. Victory is achieved through multiple convergent angles: chaining extra combat phases via Aggravated Assault backed by heavy Treasure generation, accumulating massive artifact piles to trigger alternate win conditions like Hellkite Tyrant and Knuckles the Echidna, or amplifying Smaug's attack triggers with damage doublers and triplers to burn the table down in rapid succession.
