Format: Commander

Commander: Shilgengar, Sire of Famine

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a midrange Orzhov Angel reanimator deck helmed by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine, built to fill the graveyard with high-impact Angels and then deploy them through powerful mass-reanimation effects. The primary plan involves sacrificing Angels to generate Blood tokens (often in huge bursts thanks to the commander's Angel bonus), then activating Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to return every creature card from the graveyard to the battlefield as 6/6 Vampire Angels with finality counters. The deck also packs a robust suite of single-target reanimation spells and value engines that generate incremental lifegain and token production. Alternate win conditions include draining the table with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Syr Konrad, the Grim or overwhelming opponents with a flood of evasive flyers. The deck is slow but resilient, leaning heavily on the commander for its explosive reload turns.
