Tony Stark by slashpdc

Format: Commander

Commander: Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a combo-tempo Izzet artifact deck built around both faces of its commander. Tony Stark's front face is a cheap, repeatable four-card dig that fills the hand with artifacts, while The Invincible Iron Man back face turns every combat into a free artifact-deployment trigger, attaching Hexplate Wallbreaker, Helm of the Host, or Hulkbuster Armor directly onto a hasty 5/5 flier. The primary win is chaining extra combat steps - Aggravated Assault, Hexplate Wallbreaker, Seize the Day - so each combat phase re-fires the beginning-of-combat artifact drops, or locking the table with Mycosynth Lattice plus Darksteel Forge/Vandalblast. Iron Man, Titan of Innovation acts as a hidden commander, tutoring an artifact onto the battlefield off every attack. The 99 is a dense web of artifact cost-reducers, tutors, and draw engines built on a 40-land mana base.
