Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a Sultai graveyard-combo and tribal strategy. Thranduil acts as a Necrotic Ooze in the command zone specifically for Elves, copying all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard while drawing cards when legendary Elves enter. The deck fills the graveyard using tutors like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Jarad's Orders to bin key creatures like Devoted Druid, Timberwatch Elf, and Tyvar, the Pummeler. Once enabled, Thranduil generates infinite mana and massive power boosts to win via an overwhelming Ezuri, Renegade Leader overrun, sacrificing creatures to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, or casting a lethal Exsanguinate.
