Bird Brained by poe2

Format: Commander

Commander: Whtz, the Bibliophile and Yorion, Sky Nomad

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a Bird tribal strategy helmed by Whtz, the Bibliophile, using an oversized 120-card library (with Yorion, Sky Nomad as companion) and a dense sea of 30 Tempest Hawk copies. The plan revolves around deploying multiple cheap fliers, drawing cards through engines like Kindred Discovery and Bident of Thassa, and pumping the swarm with Door of Destinies, Vanquisher's Banner, or Mirror Box to make each Hawk enormous in combat. The primary win condition is overwhelming combat damage from a sky-swarm, accelerated by Thrumming Stone-casting one Hawk can ripple into many free ones, quickly building an army. The commander provides a repeatable card-advantage engine, while the companion (Yorion) offers a one-time board flicker for protection or value reuse. The deck plays a mid-range tempo game with a heavy instant-speed interaction package to protect its board.
