Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is led by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on generating overwhelming board presence by converting high-power creatures into armies of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Supported by 39 lands and an on-curve mana rock package, the deck curves out efficiently into sacrifice fodder, token multipliers, and dedicated tribal lords like Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Cemetery Reaper. While Gisa provides a repeatable token multiplication engine in the command zone, the 99 features resilient threats such as Grave Titan, Army of the Damned, and Josu Vess, Lich Knight to maintain pressure even if the commander is removed. Life drain effects from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Vengeful Dead accelerate closing speeds while breaking board stalls. The deck operates fairly without infinite combos or fast-mana acceleration, relying on combat steps, board presence, and steady recursion to overpower opponents across the mid-to-late game.
