Kaalia by Jdcl

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Kaalia of the Vast Mardu cheat deck that attacks with its commander to dump Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The primary plan is combat overwhelm backed by damage doublers (Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Twinflame Tyrant), extra combat from Aurelia, the Warleader, and ETB payoffs like Warstorm Surge. Secondary win conditions include the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond loop and Heartless Hidetsugu paired with damage doublers for near-table kills. The deck mixes a dense threat suite with solid protection (Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Lightning Greaves, Grand Abolisher) and a light reanimation package. Kaalia is the premier deployment engine but is not required for the enchantment combos or hardcast/Amulet lines, giving the 99 real backup plans.
