Da Bears by pm10

Format: Commander

Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-green Bear tribal stompy list built around Beorn the Fierce. The plan is classic green ramp into a critical mass of Bears, then leverage Beorn's +2/+2 anthem, free trample counters, and "three or more Bears: draw two" combat trigger to bury the table in cards and trampling damage. Token engines such as Ayula's Influence, Dancing from Dark to Dawn, and The Earth King, plus typal bodies like Ayula, Queen Among Bears, Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Surrak and Goreclaw, and Wilson, Refined Grizzly, flip that draw clause on quickly. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through combat, with Craterhoof Behemoth, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, and a steeply discounted Ghalta, Primal Hunger as the haymakers. Beorn the Fierce is the command-zone draw engine and anthem - a real 6/6 trampler that the deck wants in play - but the 99 is a self-contained stompy pile that still executes if he is removed. Recasting him is cheap the first time and painful after that.
