Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color midrange strategy built around +1/+1 counters and token generation, helmed by partner commanders Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart. The deck curves Michelangelo into Leonardo to generate an automatic engine: Michelangelo attacks to create Food tokens and place counters, which immediately triggers Leonardo to put +1/+1 counters on your entire team. The 99 expands on this synergy using counter doublers like Doubling Season and Corpsejack Menace, along with thematic powerhouses like Raphael, the Muscle and Shredder, Shadow Master. Once the board is established, Leonardo's 5-color activated ability grants menace, trample, and lifelink to push through massive combat damage. Strong asymmetric board wipes like Wave Goodbye clear opposing blockers while preserving your counter-laden army, leading to a decisive table finish by Turn 7.
