Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a five-color Eldrazi token/experience-counter deck built around Azlask, the Swelling Scourge. The core plan is to generate a steady stream of colorless Eldrazi Scions and Spawns, sacrifice them for mana and death triggers, and turn every death into an experience counter. Once the counter total is high, Azlask's {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} activation turns the entire board into an indestructible, annihilator-1 overrun. The 99 leans on token engines such as Awakening Zone, From Beyond, Nest Invader, Emrakul's Hatcher, and Brood Monitor, with Parallel Lives, Panharmonicon, and Starfield Vocalist multiplying the output. The deck effectively runs three "hidden commanders" in the 99 - Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Ezuri, Claw of Progress, and Minthara, Merciless Soul - all feeding the same experience sub-theme. Wins usually come from a single massive alpha strike, often with Akroma's Will or Decimator of the Provinces, or from a mass-sacrifice turn that drains the table with Blood Artist, Poison-Tip Archer, and Cauldron of Essence.
