Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Pirate tribal strategy commanded by Edward Kenway. Its primary game plan revolves around deploying aggressive, low-cost Pirates in the opening turns, casting the commander on turn 4, and converting tapped attackers into a massive hoard of Treasure tokens at each end step. This accumulated Treasure fuels explosive mid-game turns, powering out lethal damage multipliers such as Shared Animosity, Angrath's Marauders, and Port Razer, or alternate win conditions like Revel in Riches and Time Sieve. The deck supplements combat with incidental card advantage and permanent theft via Admiral Beckett Brass, Hostage Taker, and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer. While the deck generates high mana velocity and strong combat pressure, its reliance on creature combat and light stack protection leaves it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers.
