Deck overview

This Azorius deck runs a tempo-oriented combat saboteur strategy that wins through mill. The early game establishes unblockable and flying creatures such as Slither Blade, Mist-Cloaked Herald, and Triton Shorestalker. On Turn 3 or 4, it resolves a continuous combat draw engine such as Coastal Piracy, Bident of Thassa, Reconnaissance Mission, or The Indomitable. With commander Sygg, Wanderwine Wisdom also providing unblockability and draw triggers, connecting attacks refill the hand with 2 to 4 cards each turn. The deck converts this massive card advantage into a win condition using draw-triggered mill pieces like Psychic Corrosion and Teferi's Tutelage, supplemented by chunk mill from Maddening Cacophony and Terisian Mindbreaker.
