Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Magnus the Red. The strategy focuses on deploying low-cost token generators such as Young Pyromancer and Third Path Iconoclast in the opening turns, followed by Magnus on Turn 4. With Magnus in play, every creature token reduces the generic mana cost of instant and sorcery spells by {1}. On Turn 5, this cost reduction enables explosive turns where massive draw spells like Mathemagics and Stroke of Genius are cast for just colored mana. Rituals like Battle Hymn provide huge bursts of mana that feed directly into multi-target lethal finishers, including Crackle with Power, Jaya's Immolating Inferno, and infinite Reiterate copy chains. The deck protects its setup with free countermagic and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun, ensuring game-ending damage reaches all three opponents simultaneously.
